Jesus commanded,
"Go and make disciples...baptizing them"
(Matthew 28:19-20).
Peter instructed those who believed in the resurrected Jesus to repent and be baptized...for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
All followers of Jesus in the Bible were immersed/baptized.
